Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Another quiet day in the baseball world yesterday... just kidding.
Big news out of the NL Central on Tuesday, as Cubs President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein announced he will step down from his position, effective November 20, 2020. This news came after this note from ESPN’s Buster Olney on Sunday:
So as the Cubs begin to turn the page, the Reds are likely to lose their top starting pitcher this offseason as Trevor Bauer navigates free agency. The Brewers declined options on Ryan Braun, Jedd Gyorko, and Eric Sogard, and the Pirates are... the Pirates. Always know your enemies.
Have a great day!
