Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Cardinals fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

The MLB playoffs have been a wild rush of games so far. But fans are still absorbing as much baseball as possible.

In the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey asked Monday before the start of play, fans were asked to pick a winner from each of the LDS series. Those fans picked the Oakland Athletics, Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves to advance. The Braves earned the highest percentage of the fan vote with more than 75 percent.

After their Wild Card loss at the hands of the San Diego Padres, confidence among St. Louis Cardinals fans took a hit. This week, the percentage of fans confident the team is headed in the right direction dropped 20 points, down to 19 percent. I guess a lot of this is how you interpret the question; are you confident in the team in the 2020 Postseason? The answer should be no, with their elimination. Or, is this confidence moving forward? Definitely makes you think..

Additionally, fans were asked what they were most surprised by from the Wild Card series. Just over 40 percent of those who responded were most surprised by the Miami Marlins sweep of the Chicago Cubs in Chicago. That was surprising, for sure, but if you consider the Cubs’ collective .672 OPS with 29 homers at Wrigley Field during the 2020 regular season (compared to a .736 OPS and 45 long balls away), perhaps it’s not as wild as we thought.
