Good morning, everyone. Hope your Monday is treating you well!
The Dodgers won Game 5 of the World Series last night, topping the Rays by a 4-2 final score. Los Angeles jumped out to an early lead against Tyler Glasnow, with run-scoring hits from Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger in the top of the first. Joc Pederson tacked on another run with a solo shot in the second. Clayton Kershaw lasted 5 2⁄3 innings and allowed Tampa Bay’s two runs, driven in by Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena. The Dodgers bullpen was strong on Sunday and held on for the win. For Kershaw, it was his second win of this World Series.
The series pauses on Monday and will pick back up with Game 6 on Tuesday night. The Dodgers hold a 3-2 lead in the series and will send Tony Gonsolin to the mound to face Blake Snell. First pitch is set for 7:08 PM CT. The Dodgers are the home team for the final two games of the series.
Enjoy your day!
