Good morning, everyone. Hope your Monday is going well so far.
After their 4-3 win in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series last night, we now have our date for the World Series planned out: the Rays and Dodgers, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The World Series will begin on Tuesday. Unlike the other series this Postseason, there will be off days during the World Series. There are currently days off scheduled between Game 2 (Thursday off) and Game 5 (Monday off).
Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager was named the NLCS MVP. Seager slashed .310/.333/.897 in the seven LCS games with five home runs and 11 RBIs. Seager became the first player in National League history to hit five homers and drive in 11 runs in a Postseason series; he also became the first shortstop to ever hit more than three homers in a Postseason series.
If Seager and the Rays’ Randy Arozarena continue their hot-hitting, it seems like we are in for a treat this World Series.
Have a good day!
