Memphis made a late comeback before ultimately falling in walkoff fashion to see its four-game winning streak snapped.

Fresno grabbed an early 3-1 lead after one inning and Memphis took its first lead with three runs in the top of the third. Fresno scored two runs in the fourth and fifth to go back up 7-4.

John Nogowski trimmed the gap with an RBI single in the seventh. Edmundo Sosa brought the game even with a 2-RBI single in the eighth. Fresno won the game in the ninth before Memphis could record an out.

Genesis Cabrera gave up seven runs over five innings. Jesus Cruz, Zac Rosscup and Dominic Leone each followed with scoreless innings. Chasen Shreve was responsible for the ninth inning.

A disastrous fourth inning was the turning point that led to a blowout victory for Tulsa.

Irving Lopez homered and Conner Capel hit an RBI ground-rule double in the first. Yariel Gonzalez went yard and Julio Rodriguez connected with his own RBI double in the third to give Springfield the early 4-1 edge before Tulsa scored five runs in the fourth to go up for good.

Justin Toerner homered in the ninth.

Alex Fagalde (3-3) was responsible for all five runs in the fourth and gave up six runs in total over 3 13 innings. It’s Fagalde’s second straight rough outing after having a sensational stretch of 15 straight starts of surrendering two runs or less.

Merandy Gonzalez gave up three runs out of the bullpen and Connor Jones gave up five. Springfield wrapped up the game in ‘Position player on the mound’ mode with Irving Lopez pitching the last 13 inning.
