Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Cardinals fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
Dating back to 5/2, about two weeks ago, the Cardinals have lost 11 of their last 14 games and enter the day Friday with a 23-21 record. Not surprisingly, this has lead to the lowest confidence rating from Viva El Birdos FanPulse voters.

Looking at the rest of the National League Central, the Cardinals have the third-lowest confidence rating, with the Pirates at an underwhelming 20 percent and the Reds just a tick lower at 67. It makes sense that the level of the confidence of the Pirates is so low, as their run differential is -46 — the lowest in the division by more than 60 runs. Milwaukee’s confidence is very high after a recent 7-3 stretch.
In the manager polls, Joe Maddon of the Cubs and Craig Counsell of the Brewers have earned complete approval ratings from their fan bases. Mike Shildt sits at 95 percent for St. Louis, while David Bell in Cincinnati and Clint Hurdle in Pittsburgh are at 67% as we climb over the first-quarter mark of the season.
