Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Cardinals fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
Each week since the start of the season, SB Nation has sent FanPulse surveys to Cardinals fans and fans from around the league. Usually, each survey features team-specific questions and some that apply to all teams, and there are two questions that come each week; they deal approval of the manager and overall confidence in the team.

On Opening Day, we reported that 96 percent of surveyed fans approve of Mike Shildt. That number dropped to 93 percent in the second week and 91 in the third before jumping back up to 93 percent approval this week. Overall, Cardinals fans seem to share a consistent approval of the skipper.
Are you confident in the direction of the team?
93% Yes
7% No
The percentage of confidence in this team is up nearly 20 points - it was a 75 percent confidence rating last week. A guess a four-game sweep of the Dodgers helps with this.
As I look at the survey results for all 30 teams, I can’t help but notice (and feel inclined to share) that just 53 percent of Cubs fans are confident in their team and only 64 percent of Red Sox fans are feeling it. On the flip side, the Padres, Phillies, and Brewers fans that were surveyed have complete confidence.
