THE REVENGE — The ballad of Marcell Ozuna - A recap from April 10, 2019

He returned.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

I

AT St. Louis, in Busch Stadium Lord Marcell Ozuna lay,

And a pinnace, like a flutter’d birdo, came flying from far away;

“Los Angeles bats of strength come tonight! Twenty-five (counting pitchers) are in sight!”

Then Lord Marcell Ozuna sware: “’Fore God this ball shall be fair;

I ate it last night, I TOOTBLAN’d this eve. So the yard this ball must leave.

With rage half the fans are sick. I must fly, but follow quick.

Five runs we have but in two blinks; can I get us all cheap drinks?”

The Cardinals won their [counts] fourth game in a row. Jack Flaherty pitched six solid innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts, no walks, and just three hits. The bullpen mostly held, allowing one run in its three innings of work. Yadier Molina and Marcell Ozuna both homered while Paul DeJong hit is first third*** ever MLB triple I think?

The Birdos go for the rare four-game sweep tomorrow afternoon!

Bonus points if you caught what this recap was referencing!

*** I have been corrected that DeJong has hit three MLB triples and advised to “Get your facts straight.” So I fixed it.
