Paul Goldschmidt is the best first-baseman in baseball - A Hunt and Peck

This weekend we learned Paul Goldschmidt did not agree to an extension with the Cardinals like the rumors suggested he might have. I do not believe many of us are surprised that random rumor did not pan out. I know some people are frustrated, but if I am being honest, trying to figure out the legitimacy of that rumor was the second most exciting Cardinals-related story of this offseason, at least for me.
