St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training Guide: February 25-March 3

A quick reference on how to watch/listen to/follow along with your favorite baseball team’s games this week! (Remember this post when you.. don’t remember.)

MLB: San Francisco Giants at St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have played two exhibition games so far this Grapefruit League season. The first time was a 10-run win, and the second was a 10-run loss. It’s all about balance, folks.

If you’re eager to get your baseball fix, here’s a convenient guide to help you along:

There are games scheduled for every day this week, starting with a 12:05 PM Central time contest with the Tigers in Jupiter today. For the Tigers, it’s a split-squad day. The Cardinals will send right-hander Jake Woodford to the mound to make the start. Woodford made 28 starts between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis in 2018. You can watch this game on Fox Sports Midwest or listen on KMOX 1120 and across the entire Cardinals Radio Network.

Tuesday’s contest will be in West Palm Beach against the Nationals at 12:05 PM. Adam Wainwright will make his Spring debut, fresh off the one-year contract he signed over the offseason to keep him in St. Louis this year. You can follow along with this game on MLB.com.

The games scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will be back in Jupiter with the Braves and Mets, respectively. Both contests are 12:05 PM starts and can be listened to on KMOX and the Cardinals Radio Network. For those particularly interested, Jacob deGrom, the 2018 National League Cy Young Award winner, will have his second tune-up of the spring on Thursday.

Friday’s game is a rare evening game - a 5:05 PM start. This one will be in West Palm Beach against the Astros. Though you won’t get to hear Mike Shannon and John Rooney call this one, you can tune in on Astros-affiliated radio stations. (I’ve found that it is easiest to use the MLB.com At Bat app for this.)

Both games on Saturday and Sunday are back in Jupiter against familiar opponents: the Marlins and Mets. The games start at 12:05 PM, per usual, and each will be aired on Fox Sports Midwest, KMOX, and the Cardinals Radio Network.
