Yes, it’s that time again: the part of the year when many baseball media outlets release their preseason rankings. This Wednesday, Baseball America will announce their Top 100 Prospects for the 2019 season. The Cardinals will have five of their own on the list.

Looking back at the 2018 list, the first they released last year, St. Louis also saw four on the list. Right-handed pitchers Alex Reyes and Jack Flaherty cracked the list, respectively ranked in the 17th and 53rd spots. Catcher Carson Kelly was 55th, and outfielder Tyler O’Neill took the 86th slot.

For the list as a whole, Ronald Acuna Jr. of the National League East Champion Atlanta Braves held the top spot of the list. Gleyber Torres of the New York Yankees ranked sixth, Walker Buehler of the Los Angeles Dodgers was the fifth-highest-rated pitcher and 13th overall, and Washington Nationals standout Juan Soto was 56th, just behind Kelly.
