There may be no game today, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a big day for the Cardinals. The 2018 MLB draft is underway with St. Louis set to go on the clock at 19th, 43rd, and 75th overall after not making any selections until California State Fullerton outfielder Scott Hurst heard his name called with the 94th pick last year.

We will have more coverage here at Viva El Birdos as the three-day draft unfolds this week. In the meantime, you can read up on A.E. Schafer’s roundup of his 14 draft previews containing scouting reports on over 50 prospects.

Happy draft day and let’s go Cards!
