The Cardinals lost a bad one last night, although they really didn’t have any business winning anyway so whatever. Here is what happened on VEB yesterday.

• A.E. Schafer talked about why never rebuilding is hard through the disappointment of Dexter Fowler.
• Josey did a series preview on the series with the Phillies, which has started in a disappointing fashion.
• The game thread can give you a sense of the ebbs and flows of the game, and there were more ebbs and flows than normal, especially late.
• VHS has the unfortunate duty to write a recap about last night’s game and the best that can be said is that the game is in the East Coast, so the game ended earlier than a Central time zone game would, despite the extra innings.
