The Cardinals got to play the Royals last year and playing the Royals usually results in a win. It did, making yesterday a wholly more enjoyable day than it could have otherwise been. Here are the stories from yesterday.

  • Andy gave a much-needed update on the state of the Cardinals bullpen at the moment, what with the constant DL trips and callups that have happened this season.
  • Aaron, or A.E., posted one of his insightful draft previews. This was his 11th and it might behoove you to search for the previous 10 if you haven’t. I won’t do the work for you thought.
  • Jordan Hicks throws 105 mph and other links - some may call it a hunt and peck - about what’s going on throughout baseball.
  • Greg gave an update on the Memphis Redbirds.
  • Josey previewed the series against the Royals, and you could probably sum up any article on the Royals as “they are bad.”
  • If you’re so inclined, you can relive the game experience by following the game thread. Or just imagine what it was like to watch it for the first time if you missed the game.
  • Miles Mikolas did what he does, but he only did it better last night. VHS gives more detail to the game than that, so you should read it.

Jason Hammel faces off against Luke Weaver and that seems like a good, favorable matchup for the Cardinals. The Cardinals are good I think. The Royals are bad I think. Please act accordingly tonight teams.
