2013 was not the best season of Clayton Kershaw’s career. His average against was .192. His ERA was 1.83. His Fangraph’s fWAR was 7.1. So yeah, it was not the best season of career.

Clayton Kershaw is really [redacted] good, folks.

Anyway, on October 16, 2013 Cy Young candidate Clayton Kershaw took the mound with the Dodgers facing elimination in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Cardinals. It did not go well for him, thanks to Matt Carpenter.

The Cardinals went on to win that game 9-0, sending them to the World Series for the nineteenth time.
