Getting you caught up on yesterday's VEB happenings

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Here is what went down yesterday at Viva El Birdos:

Today in Birdos history: August 25th, 2005

A combined six hits and 13 total bases between Jim Edmonds and Albert Pujols backed seven strong frames from Matt Morris as the Cardinals moved to 81-47 with a 6-3 win at Pittsburgh. The victory was the 2,195th of Tony LaRussa’s managerial career, pushing him past Sparky Anderson for third place on the all-time list.

Have a good one,
