Triple A: Memphis 5 - New Orleans 1
- Breyvic Valera (RF): 3-5, R, HR, RBI, K
- Nick Martini (1B): 0-3, BB, K
- Tyler O’Neill (LF): 0-1, R, 2 BB, SB
- Aledmys Diaz (SS): 2-2, R, 2 2B, 2 BB
- Patrick Wisdom (3B): 2-4, R, HR, 4 RBI
- Harrison Bader (CF): 1-4, 2 K, CS
- Jack Flaherty (SP): 7 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 5 K, HR
- Mark Montgomery (RP): 1 IP, 1 K
Breyvic Valera’s night brought his season wRC+ for the season up to 117, and he has 3 more walks than strikeouts on the year...Pat Wisdom’s homer last night was his 29th of the season which moves him into 3rd place on the Pacific Coast League leaderboard...Jack Flaherty put together another strong outing last night and seems to have weathered the (relatively) rough patch he went through shortly after being called up to the PCL. He hasn't been nearly as dominant in Memphis as he was in the Texas League to start the season. But he's more than held his own in the PCL and is, in fact, putting up better K and BB numbers in AAA than he did a season ago in A-Advanced, and in a much tougher environment for pitchers...Memphis improved their record to 84-45 and are 22.5 games up in their division.
Class A: Clinton 7 - Peoria 6
- Kramer Robertson (SS): 2-4, R, 2B, RBI, BB
- Stefan Trosclair (CF): 0-5, 2 K
- Brian O’Keefe (C): 3-5, R, HR, RBI, K
- J.R. Davis (LF): 3-5, 3 R
- Ryan McCarvel (1B): 1-3, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K
- Nick Plummer (CF): 1-4, 2 K
- Bryan Dobzanski (SP): 2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Kramer Robertson’s season has largely followed his BABIP/batting average, but since bottoming out in early August he’s tacked 57 points onto his BA, walked a bit more and has pulled his wRC+ above average...Reliever Bryan Dobzanski, tapped for the start at the last minute, with storms threatening Peoria didn't want to burn scheduled starter Frederis Parra. Dobzanski pitched until an eclipse delay at which point Parra took over. Dobzanski has looked much better since moving to the bullpen. He drew Joe Kelly comps earlier in his career, with a high-velocity arsenal that didn’t miss enough bats. Like Joe Kelly it looks like his mid-high 90s sinker-heavy repertoire plays up in the pen.
