He was replaced in the lineup by Tyler O’Neill who went on to hit a game tying home run in the 7th His first home run for the Redbirds was his 9th homer in July …Miguel Socolovich was a last-minute fill-in after Luke Weaver was scratched from the lineup so he could join the big club. He did an incredible job given the circumstances, holding the Bees hitless through 4 innings and only walking one…Mark Montgomery has 13 strikeouts this month and has only allowed one run.

He had given up 15 runs in 23 July innings.

Unfortunately, his efforts were wasted, neither the rest of the lineup nor the pitching staff could make his 2 homers stand up…Mike O’Reilly had his worst start of the season. He’s been homer prone this year, and he’s surrendered 5 home runs in his two Palm Beach starts. O’Reilly’s BB% has remained in the 3’s across three levels of pro ball, and he’s only walked 12 batters in just over 100 innings this year.
