Not a whole lot going on offensively in this game. Magneuris Sierra continues to hit AA pitching fairly well. Sierra’s development has been quite the surprise for me this year. I never expected him to be in AA by the All-Star break (let alone the Majors) and I certainly did not think he would be hitting as well as he has so far. I fully expected him to struggle when he was sent down because I thought his approach at the plate left a lot to be desired. Dakota Hudson’s lack of strikeouts are very concerning. I expected someone with his repertoire and his SEC pedigree to be able to blow the ball by his fair share of hitters. Still, Hudson’s overall numbers are still solid and I’ll cut him a bit of slack as he’s already enjoying success at AA in his second professional season.
