Tonight, the American League will face off against the National League in the All-Star Game. There will be a designated hitter for those of you opposed to that sort of thing. It is also an exhibition and does not count. The silly rule enacted by Bud Selig after he was thoroughly embarrassed when he called a game a tie is no longer around.

The Cardinals have two All-Star representatives, Carlos Martinez and Yadier Molina. That is more representatives than the Cubs, Brewers, or Pirates, and in a few weeks will be more representatives than on the Reds roster at that time. Neither Martinez nor Molina is starting, but one would figure both will get in the game as their are only two catchers on the roster, and this:

I’d rather see El Gallo pitching to Yadi, but unless Yadi is catching six or seven innings, that’s not going to happen.

The game begins at 7pm CT and airs on FOX.
