Cardinals news and notes: Weaver, draft, Brewers

Cardinals split a double-header yesterday with the Brewers. (You can read the series preview here.) The games encapsulated this entire stupid sport with the Cardinals bullpen shutting down the Brewers over the course of the game’s final 12 outs in Game 1 and barely being able to record an out in Game 2. So it goes. On the second point though, Ben Markham wrote a convincing piece yesterday why the Cardinals should consider Luke Weaver for the bullpen. Ben makes a lot of sense.
