Here are some takeaways from the previous weekend of baseball down on the Cardinals farm:
-Matt Pearce tossed a complete game on Sunday for Springfield, holding the Naturals to two runs (one earned) and whiffing six.
-Since being demoted to accommodate the return of Jhonny Peralta, Magneuris Sierra has gone 3-for-6 with the Cardinals with a triple and three runs batted in.
-Luke Weaver was roughed up for the first time this year, allowing six runs (four earned) over five innings on Friday, bumping his ERA on the season up to... 1.67 across 27 innings.
-Jake Woodford was sharp on Sunday for Palm Beach, logging seven innings of one-run ball to best the Fire Frogs.
-Palm Beach infielder Luke Dykstra had three hits in five at-bats this weekend with his third two-bagger of 2017.

-Mike O’Reilly needed just one run of support on Saturday, a masterful day on the mound for him, holding the Snappers hitless through 8 1⁄3 and whiffing ten along the way. With the performance, O’Reilly lowered his season WHIP and ERA to 0.65 and 1.73, respectively, in 26 innings this year.
-Memphis infielder Paul DeJong crushed his ninth homer of the season on Saturday and is currently tied with Cardinals first baseman Matt Carpenter for the organization lead in long balls.
-Luke Voit went 4-for-11 with a pair of doubles this weekend for the Redbirds and is up to a .354/.441/.626 slash through 41 games in Memphis.
-Memphis outfielder Nick Martini had a nice weekend, hitting his first homer of the season and going 4-for-12 overall. His two doubles on Friday bring him to six on the year.
