Some happenings happened in baseball. Here is what happened.
- I wrote about Jedd Gyorko, the person about whom I commissioned this artwork, and how while he is not a great defensive infielder at any position, his ability to be serviceable at several spots makes him additionally valuable in the Matt Carpenter mold.
- Josey Curtis wrote about Thursday’s minor league happenings, including Stephen Piscotty’s rehab stint.
- The lil scooter wrote about Luis Robert and the Cardinals’ candidacy for signing him. One of my personal favorite traditions of baseball is becoming enamored with players I’ve never actually seen play baseball. Folks, it has happened again.
- Craig Edwards wrote about the next three (at the time) games for the St. Louis Cardinals, against the San Francisco Giants.
- I broke the news to VEB about the Cardinals activating Jhonny Peralta and demoting Magneuris Sierra (I saw the Cardinals tweet about it so I put some words on the website about it).
