Cardinals news and notes: Darvish, comeback wins, first place

It’s Wednesday - hump day, as they call it in some parts. More to the point, it’s not Friday and half of the work week still remains. Normally that would be considered bad news, but last night the Cardinals won a game that most of us had likely considered a lost cause after the 7th inning or thereabouts. Here’s the go-ahead hit in the event you missed it:

• Lil Scooter was happy to report yesterday that the Cardinals were in first place. Today the Cardinals are still in first place. Hopefully tomorrow, too. And the day after that. Perhaps they will be in first place for the rest of our natural lives. I could support that.
