In case you were too busy with the beautiful St. Louis weather or were just, I don’t know, absorbed in Cardinals games, here is the stuff that happened this weekend on VEB.
- Ben Markham asked why the St. Louis Cardinals did not acquire a true fourth outfielder, therefore leading to things like Matt Adams playing left field. Luckily, Adams in left field did not lead to any frustrations over the weekend (please do not read any further in this post to assure your own sanity).
- The red baron wrote a post in which he led off by stating, “This is a pretty stupid column.” You can be the judge of that.
- In the magical world of recaps, IHeartBoog handled the delightful 10-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. VanHicklestein was tasked with the far less delightful 8-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
Anyway, today marks a new series in which the Cardinals can right the ship. That’s how that expression is spelled, right? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it spelled out—it seems right, but I don’t know. Whatever. Hopefully the Washington Nationals can be less good.
