This is day, like 18 or so of Giancarlo Stanton watch. Things have been heating up of late with both the Cardinals and Giants meeting up with Stanton at the end of last week and making their pitch to get Stanton to waive his no trade clause.
Yesterday, lil_scooter showed how Dexter Fowler and Kolten Wong won’t give up on getting Stanton without a fight. Fowler takes a nice jab at Hunter Pence.
Ben Godar discusses how things have changed compared to when Californian Mark McGwire gladly came to St. Louis. This is something Derrick Goold covered in his chat earlier this week, and John Fleming highlighted it on twitter:

As for the current Stanton rumors, there is a bit to unpack here:
This can obviously change as it goes, but Giants expect a Stanton decision by the end of the week. I'm hearing they continue to view Dodgers, not Cardinals, as biggest threat.

As for the Cardinals, John Mozeliak is playing the waiting game like the rest of us.
John Mozeliak, on KMOX, speaking generally about the #STLCards pursuit of Stanton: "I think in this particular situation, patience is one of our strengths, and that’s how we have to approach it."

The end of the week would be nice. The Dodgers or the Giants would not. Who knows.
In non-Stanton news, AE Schafer began his draft coverage for next season by discussing three players he had covered before who bypassed signing with clubs three years ago and went to college.
