Some things happened this weekend and some other things did not happen. Here is all about all of them.
- Giancarlo Stanton appears to be headed to the New York Yankees from the Miami Marlins. How should Cardinals fans react to this news from the perspective of front office evaluation? Craig Edwards explores this question.
- Ben Markham is leaving VEB, and he posted his farewell post on Sunday. I’m conflicted, because I will miss his always-sterling analysis and because we came into VEB writership at the same time. However, his absence will make my writing look better by comparison, which I appreciate.
- The annual VEB Prospect List is starting! Aaron Schafer is taking over from the red baron (who perished in a mysterious silo explosion) and in his first post in the series, listed some names that just missed the list.
- Remember the 2013 draft? Of course you do—it wasn’t that long ago. Well, maybe you don’t, or maybe you didn’t care because you didn’t know who any of those people were. Well, anyway, here’s a revisiting of it courtesy of Josey Curtis.
- Luke Gregerson is back, in free agent form! He signed with the Cardinals on a 2-year, $11 million deal, and I wrote about it.
I’ll be back with more words on this website in a little bit. Hold tight, y’all.
