Cardinals news and notes: 2016, Oquendo, Reds

An ode to game-ending bad calls (plus news and notes).

Now that’s an ending. The Cardinals escaped last night with a pretty lucky, or at least premature, 4-3 win over the Reds last night on a ground-rule double from Yadier Molina (that apparently wasn’t) which allowed Matt Carpenter to score the winning run. The rest of the baseball world went to bed relieved that the Cardinals finally caught a break. Good enough for me. You can read the rally thread and recap if you so choose.
