Cardinals v Marlins Game Thread: 3/23/2016

Carlos Martinez continues to get his pitch count up as we get closer to the start of the season. In his last outing, Martinez went 2.2 innings, striking out five against no walks but gave four hits and two runs, including a home run to Miguel Cabrera. Martinez still has swing and miss stuff so it is just the matter of getting his fastball command to catch up.

The Cardinals were off yesterday, which is the last off day they have during Spring Training. Today's game is on Fox Sports Midwest and MLB.tv. Full broadcast schedule for Spring Training can be found here.

Today's lineup includes Matt Holliday back at first base as he continues to get himself ready to play the position in a regular season game. Jeremy Hazelbaker, one of the few non-roster invitees still in major league camp, gets another start in the outfield.
