The Cardinals had an off-day yesterday after Mike Leake pitched very well in his start on Sunday. Today Jaime Garcia gets to try and increase his pitch count as we get closer to the season. He made it 3 2/3 innings in his last start, and will likely being trying to finish at least four innings today. There are only 18 days until Opening Day, but unfortunately, this is one of the two remaining games that will not be televised in any way.
For those who want to listen to the game, it is available at Cardinals.com and through the MLB At Bat app. If it has not quite sunk in yet, remember that there will be roughly 170 televised Cardinals games over the next six months, more if the Cardinals are lucky enough to make the postseason. Winter is almost officially over.
Here is the lineup for today's contest.
