The Cardinals have given some game exposure to young players in recent games. Magneuris Sierra has gotten two starts in the outfield. Pitching prospects Junior Fernandez, Sandy Alcantara, and Jack Flaherty have all gotten into recent games as well. With a split squad game on Saturday and the Cardinals playing 13 games in 12 days to open the schedule, a lot of guys received opportunities. Going forward, it is not clear how many more of those types of chances will be available with starters pitching deeper into games, and regulars getting more playing time.
The Cardinals are off tomorrow, but Mike Leake gets the start today, and there are multiple viewing options with MLB Network, Fox Sports Midwest and MLB.tv all airing today's game. A full broadcast schedule can be found here.
The top of today's lineup looks very much like what we could see on Opening Day.

Jedd Gyorko is back at shortstop and Matt Holliday is back at first as the Cardinals attempt to get a bit more flexible.
Enjoy the game!
