Recapping Monday's action.

Here's a rundown of Monday's Viva El Birdos lineup:

Taking a flier on Tyson Ross -- Alex Crisafulli 'took a flier' on free agent starting pitcher Tyson Ross, who could be a rewarding and relatively cheap option for the Cardinals as they look to bulk up from a depth perspective.

Following Dexter Fowler's lead on the base paths -- Joe Schwarz examined the impact new Cardinal Dexter Fowler will have on the bases.

Checking in on Marco Gonzales -- I took a look at lefty Marco Gonzales, who has been more or less forgotten over the last few months.

Happy birthday to Cardinal legend Tom Lawless -- A Hunt and Peck -- Lil_Scooter paid her respect to Tom Lawless, the former Cardinals infielder who celebrated his 60th birthday on Monday.

Matt Adams' lack of trade value -- Ben Markham broke down the trade value (or lack of) of Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams, who has naively been placed as a centerpiece in many fan-proposed trades.
