Wednesday was another intriguing day of offseason coverage here at Viva El Birdos. And with that, here's a rundown of yesterday's story lineup:

Hot Stove Cooking with the Cardinals -- Ben Godar crafted an entertaining tale regarding the 1985 cookbook produced by the wives of Cardinals players; the book featured several recipes, and Ben detailed two in his story on Wednesday: Bob Forsch's Poolside Libation and Luis Alicea's Shrimp Dip. Yum!

Adam Wainwright puts up Christmas Lights -- A Hunt and Peck -- Lil_Scooter's regular feature revolved around Adam Wainwright and his wife, who had her 6'7" husband deck out their family's tree in many, many lights.

The Cardinals should consider Alex Avila -- John Fleming detailed the Cardinals' current state from a catching perspective and how the organization should consider adding Avila to the club to serve as the backup catcher.

That does it for Wednesday's action. Check back Thursday for more!
