The Cubs are a game away from their first World Series since 1945. That’s good news for them and good news for us because the last time the Cubs needed just one more win to get to the series the Cardinals up and won 105 games the next season and did it instead. If the Cardinals want to do that again in 2017 I would not object.
Here’s what you may have missed yesterday at VEB:
Tito Francona
After Tony La Russa retired following the 2011 championship, the Cardinals (maybe) thought about hiring Terry Francona. Joe Schwarz got the conversation going on what might have been.
2006 NLCS
I wrote about my favorite game ever - Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS.
Down on the farm
Josey Curtis has a recap of the Glendale-Mesa game.
Carlos Martinez
Carlos Martinez isn’t on Twitter. And why not? It’s such a great place.
Facebook live episode 15
Site Manager Craig Edwards recorded Episode 15 of the Facebook live series. Be sure to check it out.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
