The first-place St. Louis Cardinals (92-54) play the third-place Chicago Cubs (85-61) at Wrigley Field today in the opener of the teams' three-game series. The Cubs just got done taking three of four from the second-play Pirates in PIttsburgh. The Cards lead the Pirates by five games and the Cubs by seven in the Central standings entering play today.
