The St. Louis Cardinals ( ) are tied with the Cincinnati Reds ( ) in the eighth inning of the Cards' 141st game. That's where this morning's action (at least in the Central timezone and westward) will pick up after last night's Mother Nature-necessitated postponement. The pitcher's of record are John Lackey and J.J. Hoover.

There are no outs in the top of the eighth and Pete Kozma has just come into the game to pinch-run for Jhonny Peralta. Yadier Molina is at the bat. Hoover was on the mound.
