It was a light schedule for the St. Louis Cardinals prospects. Memphis, Springfield and Peroia all had scheduled off days, and Johnson City had it's two halves of a double header suspended and postponed, respectively.
A Advanced: Palm Beach 8 - Charlotte 7 (12 Innings)
- Breyvic Valera played LF and had 3 hits including a double and 3 RBI. He's back in Palm Beach after his second crack at AA this year, which went even worse than last year's stint in Springfield. He has 7 hits and 2 doubles in his 3 games with Palm Beach, but we already knew he could hit Florida State League pitching.
- Luke Voit was 1-4 with a triple and a pair of RBI. His triple along with Valera's double were the only 2 extra base hits for Palm Beach, but they were still able to plate 8 runs.
- Collin Radack was 2-5 with a walk and an RBI. He is batting .412 with 5 doubles in his last 10 games.
- Luis Perdomo made his FSL debut, and allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1 IP.
A Short Season: State College 5 - Mahoning Valley 3
- LF Michael Pritchard had a pair of singles, he was the only Spike with a multi-hit game. Mahoning Valley helped the State College cause by issuing 10 walks.
- DH Elier Rodriguez walked 3 times and scored a run. The 3 walks last night pushed his BB% up over 20% so far in his brief stint in State College.
Rookie: DSL Cardinals 6 - DSL Rangers1 0
- Center Fielder Wadye Ynfante went 3-5 with a double and 3 runs.
- Sanel Rosendo played RF and went 2-4 with a run, a double and an RBI.
- Franyel Casadilla started and pitched 6 shutout innings. He gave up 4 hits, struck out 7 and didn't issue any walks.
Rookie: GCL Cardinals 1 - GCL Nationals 4 (7 Innings)
- SS Allen Cordoba went 3-4 with a run and stole his 5th base of the season. He is hitting .338/.394/.400 in the GCL.
- Derian Gonzalez got the start and pitched 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs, walked 3 and struck out 5.
Rookie: GCL Cardinals 5 - GCL Nationals 4 (7 Innings)
- Nick Plummer tripled and added a pair of runs and a pair of RBI. His overall line is .195/.357/.285, but he is walking in almost 18% of his PA.
- 1B Dylan Becker had a pair of singles and scored a run.
- Jordan DeLorenzo needed to face 10 batters to record five outs, but all 5 outs came via the K.
Rookie: Johnson City - Bristol PPD (Doubleheader)
