St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres - Game 80 open thread - July 4, 2015

The St. Louis Cardinals have lost four games in a row at home. Before this current streak, the Cards had not lost three games in a row at Busch Stadium. They had posted an eye-poppingly good 29-7 record in St. Louis, which equaled a .806 winning percentage. The losing streak has dropped the Redbirds to 29-11 at Busch, lowering their winning percentage to .725.

The Cardinals recalled Mitch Harris today. You may have heard that Harris attended the Navy Academy and made a living in the Navy arm of our military before trying his hand at pro baseball. Today is the Fourth of July. It seems as if perhaps the FBI investigation has given the Cardinals a new appreciation of PR optics.
