The St. Louis Cardinals' 60-34 record is the best in Major League Baseball. At 57-36, the Kansas City Royals have the second-best record in baseball and the highest winning percentage in the American League. The two clubs face off in a make-up game this evening at Busch Stadium. They will wear 1985 throwback uniforms as was the plan before Mother Nature caused a rainout on June 14.

Stephen Piscotty was supposed to make his first start at first base for the Cardinals this evening. But a stiff neck ntervened and caused manager Mike Matheny to scratch him from the lineup. Instead, we get Dan Johnson at first.
