The first-place St. Louis Cardinals squandered an excellent start by Jaime Garcia last night against the last-place Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals put 12 base-runners on, but failed to knock any of them in. The team's 1-0 loss earned Garcia a pitching "loss" and will forever stand as an example of how silly that stat is and why no one should ever use it.
