Memphis 5 - Colorado Springs 4

Notables:
  • Dean Anna (SS): 1-4, R, 3B, 2 K
  • Stephen Piscotty (RF): 2-4, R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI
  • Xavier Scruggs (1B): 0-3, BB, 2 K
  • Ty Kelly (2B-CF): 1-3, BB, K
  • Nick Greenwood (SP): 3.2 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
  • Kurt Heyer (RP): 3.1 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, K
Stephen Piscotty was the hitting star for Memphis. Monday night was his first multi-hit game since APril 24th...Ty Kelly made his second appearance of the season in CF, which as far as I can tell is his second appearance ever as a professional at the position...The Redbirds bullpen was the story on the pitching side. Just like his counterpart in St. Louis last night, Nick Greenwood was unable to make it out of the fourth inning. The bullpen was able to pick him up though, Kurt Heyer gave the club 3.1 innings in long-relief and the 3 other relievers pitched in to shut out Colorado Springs the rest of the way.

Tuesday Probables: COL (Cravy) @ MEM (Cooney)

Arkansas 6 - Springfield 5

Notables:
  • Charlie Tilson (CF): 1-3, R, BB
  • Breyvic Valera (2B): 2-4, R, 2 RBI
  • Jacob Wilson (2B): 2-3, 2B, RBI
  • Jonathan Rodriguez (1B): 1-3, RBI, BB, K
  • Aledmys Diaz (SS): 0-3, K
  • Pat Wisdom (3B): 2-3, 3 R, 3B, BB, K
  • Arturo Reyes (SP): 1.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 1 K
  • Heath Wyatt (RP): 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
Breyvic Valera has added 60 points to his batting average over the last two weeks, but a month into the season his batting average and slugging percentage are identical...Charlie Tilson's robust early season slash stats were fueled by a ton of singles. The hits have predictably stopped falling in as frequently, but he is still walking at a career high rate, and has been uncharacteristically averse to strike outs thus far as well...In what became something of a running theme, Springfield starter Arturo Reyes was roughed up and chased early last night. He needed 51 pitches to record 4 outs, and like Carlos Martinez and Nick Greenwood he was bailed out by a strong long relief outing. Unlike the Memphis and St. Louis bullpens, however, the rest of the S-Cards's bullpen could not get the job done, and Springfield coughed up a lead and lost the game.

Tuesday Probables: NWA (Sulbran) @ SPR (Morales)

St. Lucie 4 - Palm Beach 0

Notables:
  • Mason Katz (1B): 0-2, 2 BB
  • Luke Voit (DH): 0-2, BB, 2 K
  • Carson Kelly (C): 0-3
  • Rowan Wick (RF): 0-3, K
  • Alex Reyes (SP): 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K

St. Lucie starter Robert Gsellman didn't allow any highlights for the Palm Beach offense. He retired 24 of the 26 batters he faced, and Palm Beach had only a single and a walk to show for their efforts...Alex Reyes struck out the side in the second, unfortunately two hits and a two base error (Wick) were sandwiched between those strike outs and he was the tough luck loser.

Tuesday Probables: PB (Kaminsky) @ STL (Diaz)

Clinton 2 - Beloit 0

Notables:
  • Danny Diekroeger (3B): 0-2, 2 BB, SB
  • Collin Radack (RF): 1-4
  • Magneuris Sierra (CF): 2-4, K
  • Blake Drake (RF): 1-3, 2B, K
  • Luis Perdomo (SP): 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K
Magneuris Sierra's two hit night was his first multi-hit game since April 18th...Luis Perdomo has now struck out 26 Midwest League hitters in 23 IP this season.

Tuesday Probables: PEO (Gomber) @ CLI (Medina)
