The St. Louis Cardinals (30-16) go for the sweep against the Arizona Diamondbacks (21-24) at Busch Stadium this evening. The Cards will do so without primary first baseman Matt Adams, who they placed on the 15-day disabled list this morning with a quad tear. Mark Reynolds will start at the initial sack in place of the injured Adams. Jhonny Peralta slides into the cleanup spot. Randal Grichuk bats fifth.
