After Tuesday night's postponement, the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs are slated to play a contest this afternoon at Wrigley Field that will constitute each club's second game of the 2015 season on the fourth calendar day of the season. I write "slated" because the afternoon forecast for Chicago isn't all that different from the one that resulted in a postponement last night. On the other hand, that announcement that last night's game would be played on a later date came hours before first pitch and this afternoon, a couple hours before game time, the Cardinals official Twitter feed is pushing today's contest. So we'll see if they get nine innings in this afternoon.
