General manager made it official this afternoon at Busch Stadium: Adam Wainwright will be out nine to 12 months with a torn Achilles tendon. Now the Cardinals will have to replace the un-replaceable. Meanwhile, Jason Heyward revealed that he experienced hamstring tightness, not groin tightness as was previously reported. Heyward is out again tonight. Instead of Heyward (or Peter Bourjos), manager Mike Matheny is giving Mark Reynolds his second consecutive outfield start. Further, Yadier Molina makes his return to the starting lineup.
