Tonight's series finale is the St. Louis Cardinals' third in a three-game series this young season. Each of the first two were rubber matches that the Cardinals won. Tonight we have a game three of a different flavor, one that is especially delicious against the Cincinnati Reds: St. Louis will go for the sweep. Better still, they do so behind staff ace Adam Wainwright. Also helping the Cardinals' odds of sweeping the Reds is the fact that leadoff speedster Billy Hamilton, who tweaked his hamstring on Saturday, will not start (though he's available to play).
The Cardinals lineup:
- Matt Carpenter, 3B
- Jason Heyward, RF
- Matt Holliday, LF
- Matt Adams, 1B
- Jhonny Peralta, SS
- Jon Jay, CF
- Yadier Molina, C
- Kolten Wong, 2B
- Wainwright, P
The Reds lineup:
- Skip Schumaker, LF
- Joey Votto, 1B
- Todd Frazier, 3B
- Brandon Phillips, 2B
- Jay Bruce, RF
- Zack Cozart, SS
- Brennan Boesch, CF
- Tucker Barnhart, C
- Mike Leake, P
One last thing: Why didn't any of you tell me that they sell a Yadi Bear?
Most of my family are @Cardinals fans, so now Keiki has a new friend - Yadi Bear pic.twitter.com/xQQbsX3cuD
