The St. Louis Cardinals (6-3) face the Cincinnati Reds (5-5) at Busch Stadium at 1:15 p.m. CT. The Cardinals have won three games in a row and consequently stand alone atop the National League Central division standings, a game ahead of the Chicago Bryants. Sure we're only nine games into the season but it felt good to type that sentence.
The Reds have optioned Pedro Villareal to Triple-A Louisville. Why? To make room for Homer Bailey, whom the club activated from the DL to start today's game.
