Both of these games were shortened, with the first one ending after eight. The second was a makeup of a game from June 29th, ending after the Redbirds failed to tie the game after their turn at bat in the 7th.

Martinez pitched pretty well in his first game back in the minors. With any luck it'll continue and he can help bolster the bullpen in St. Louis.

Through 25 games in Palm Beach Mason Katz now has an OPS of .926. He's not young at all, 24 this month, but he suddenly looks interesting as a prospect, provided of course that he keeps this up.
