- Tommy Pham keeps chugging along, he's now hitting .341/.404/.508 this season and filling up box scores. His RBI came on a 2nd inning bases loaded walk.
- Tyler Lyons has given up 15 runs in his last 3 starts (18 IP), although one of those games was in Albuquerque.
- Before the season Baseball Prospectus' Jason Parks said Randal Grichuk's most likely big league role may be as a platoon outfielder. Grichuk hasn't done anything to dispel that notion in AAA, He is giving up almost 400 points of OPS (1.085-.693) against same side pitching this year.

- Springfield was able to plate 9 runs on 11 hits, only 1 of which went for extra bases. The S-Cards did almost all of their damage in the 1st, when they sent 11 batters to the plate and 7 of them came in to score.
- Kurt Heyer and Seth Blair were not nearly as stingy with the extra base hits as their NW Arkansas counterparts. The pair allowed 5 homers (4 by Heyer) and a double in their 5.2 IP. The rest of the relievers who appeared for Springfield were able to get through the game unscathed.
