Pretty exciting game from Alex Reyes, with excellent peripherals and a limited number of hits in the game. In his last two starts he has 21 Ks against 3 BBs in 12 1/3 IP.

Bryan was pinch hit for in the middle of his at bat (1 - 2 count), bringing McElroy off the bench for the first time since he hurt himself on a diving catch on Friday.

That's Mercado's 28th error this season. The high error totals of shortstops with high defensive reviews is a fascinating aspect of the minor leagues. I've seen it with Kozma and Brendan Ryan and Ryan Jackson, so I'm not particularly concerned, but I am perplexed regarding why it happens.
