Notes:
- Oscar Taveras was clearly the hitting star for Memphis. He has 8 extra base hits (2 HR, 6 2B) in his last 10 games. On a related note the parent club will need a DH for 7 straight games at the beginning of June.
- Tim Cooney and the Memphis bullpen were rocked. The Redbirds were down 11 runs before they got on the board. They rallied for 8 runs in the 8th to get back in the game, but didn't have quite enough to come all the way back.

- Marco Gonzales had another strong start for Springfield. The 2013 1st rounder threw 65 of his 97 pitches for strikes. Ryan Sherriff backed him up with a 2 inning save.
